Wed. Night Impact

Last night we had Saturate, which is a time of prayer and praise. Gideon led us in an extended time of worship through songs. I gave a couple of minute talk about desiring God. I read from Psalm 63, and how the psalmist couldn't wait to see God and spend time with God. It was like when you are at the bottom of the pool and you start to run out of breath, and you have to swim up to the surface. Your lungs start hurting and you're not sure if you're going to make it, and then you do and that breath is so sweet. Our desire for God should be like our desire for that breath. I know in my own life, it's not always like that. The kids took a few minutes to focus on Jesus, and tell him how much they love him. Gideon finished the night with a few more songs. It was a very good Wed. night.
