Sunday Morning Impact

I think this Sunday was an average Sunday morning. We started off with a game, where 5 kids and 1 adult had to put an alkaseltzer tablet in their mouth and then put a mouthful of 7up in there too. The alkaseltzer starts to bubble up, and the winner is who can keep it in their mouths the longest. Jesse kept his in their the longest out of all the kids and Charles, the 8th grade boys teacher, kept it in the longest altogether. It's hilarious to watch because everybody's cheeks get real puffy right before they spew.
The music was below average. The worship, however, was great. The music was off because a couple of people didn't show up, so there wasn't a bass player or a drummer, so the sound was kind of empty. But Gideon still did a great job with what he had, and the kids seemed to really enjoy it and seemed to get into it.
Our lesson was about worship again. I gave an opener about the whole process of Parker being born. Our lesson was about the gift of Jesus from God, and we had a Christmas lesson in March, or at least a lesson about the birth of Jesus. So in our small groups we talked about how our worship is a gift we can give to God, but we also received the greatest gift in his son Jesus.
It was a good week.
